Terms of Service

Last updated: April 29, 2026

Acceptance of terms

By creating a redirect link on Route Entry, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service. These terms apply to all routes you create through the web interface and related management tools.

Description of service

Route Entry provides a free redirect link service with configurable access gates (password protection, geolocation filtering, bot challenge, consent collection, and data capture) and a real-time visitor analytics dashboard. The service is provided as-is, free of charge, with no guarantee of uptime, feature availability, or data persistence beyond what's described in these terms.

Route Entry reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service or any part of it at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes through the website.

Acceptable use

You may use Route Entry for any lawful purpose - sharing links with specific audiences, access-gating content, or collecting visitor consent. You are responsible for the destination URLs your redirects point to and for the content visitors encounter through your redirects.

Prohibited activities

You may not use Route Entry for any of the following:

  • Phishing - creating redirects that impersonate other services or that are designed to collect credentials through deceptive means.
  • Malware distribution - redirecting visitors to pages that deliver malicious software, exploits, or unwanted downloads.
  • Spam - using redirects as part of unsolicited bulk messaging campaigns.
  • Illegal content - pointing redirects at content that is illegal in the jurisdictions where your visitors are located.
  • Circumventing access controls - using Route Entry to bypass digital rights management, geo-blocks, or other access restrictions on third-party services in a manner that violates those services' terms.
  • Data collection without consent - using IP capture or device fingerprint steps to collect visitor data without appropriate disclosure, in contexts where applicable law requires it.
  • Harassment or targeting - using geolocation or data capture features to target, profile, or harass specific individuals.

This list is not exhaustive. Route Entry reserves the right to disable or remove any route that we determine, in our sole judgment, violates the spirit of these terms or causes harm to visitors, third parties, or the service infrastructure.

Management tokens

When you create a route, you receive a management token. This token is the only credential for managing your route and accessing its visitor data. You are responsible for keeping it secure. Route Entry has no mechanism to recover a lost token and no ability to verify that you are the original creator of a route if you lose access to it.

Do not share management tokens publicly. Anyone with the token can view all visitor data, modify gate settings, and delete the route.

Data retention

Visitor sessions are automatically deleted after 30 days. Routes inactive for 90 consecutive days are removed, along with all associated session data. Sessions are capped at 10,000 per route; the oldest are trimmed when the cap is reached. Route Entry does not guarantee the preservation of session data for any specific period - these retention windows are maximums, not minimums, and may be adjusted if infrastructure constraints require it.

Intellectual property

Route Entry does not claim ownership over the destination URLs, gate text, or custom CSS you configure in your routes. You retain ownership of any content you provide. By using the service, you grant Route Entry a limited license to store and serve that content as necessary to operate the redirect.

Disclaimer of warranties

Route Entry is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Route Entry and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages - including loss of data, revenue, or business - arising from your use of or inability to use the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be noted on the website.
